BENJAMIN STEAKHOUSE / Roppongi
BENJAMIN STEAKHOUSE, originally established in Manhattan, New York, opened its first location in Asia in Roppongi, Tokyo.
Respecting the heritage of the brand and the distinctive atmosphere of its New York flagship, we incorporated sophisticated, contemporary elements suited to Roppongi, creating an interior that combines a sense of grandeur with refined luxury.
Located below ground level, the project was subject to strict fire safety requirements. Through carefully considered zoning, we created a sequence of spaces with different atmospheres that unfold as guests move through the restaurant. For kitchen equipment specified by the New York headquarters, we worked closely with the relevant authorities and incorporated the required safety measures into the design, enabling its installation in Japan.
PICO INNOVATE was responsible for a wide range of services throughout the project, including direction, basic design, design coordination and approval with the New York headquarters, detailed design, MEP design, project budget and schedule management, design supervision, coordination of Category A & B construction works, furniture design, display planning and installation, custom lighting design, overseas production and import/export coordination, mural and artwork planning, signage planning, and coordination with relevant authorities.
